Bargaining Update – Printshops – Tentative Agreements

All of you know that we represent employees in the Telecom industry, but we also represent employees in the Print and Media sector. Recently, Jason Peavler and Sonia Lopez have been in contract negotiations with three of our print shops: American Income Life, American Union Graphics, and Stitch N’ Tyme. Once the contracts have been ratified, we will make them available on this site.

From President Jason Peavler:

After many hours of negotiations and miles traveled, we are please to announce we have reached Tentative Agreements with American Income Life, American Union Graphics and Stitch N’ Tyme.  It was our primary goal to achieve fair and equitable contracts.

We knew entering into negotiations during this recent surge of COVID would be a difficult task, but were determined to reach agreements that were fair and agreeable to our members.  In each of the CBAs (Collective Bargaining Agreements), members obtained stability, increased wages and other compensations, and improvements to their sanitary articles.  We were also able to maintain the healthcare plans under American Income Life and American Union Graphics with no increase to employee’s contributions.

I would also like to take this time to thank Secretary-Treasurer Monica Lopez and Vice President Tony Thornburg for their assistance and a special thanks to Vice President Sonia Lopez for her role in negotiations.
